I don’t know if anyone can help Lieberman in backing him up. It’s not like that time he hit an 8 year old after his kid got kicked up. It’s a bribe case. I also think that when Liberman was backing up Fridman he wanted to make the attorney general decision look biased. he is pulling an “Aryeh Deri ” or a “Clay Davis”…

You are right. When I wrote this post I didn’t know he was going to be interrogatad for 8 hours the day after, but things make sense now. The problem with his behavior is that the more vocal Liberman is now, the more it will make Netanyahu happy when he is gone – so he might not back him up when troubles come.

Lieberman doesn’t address the Israeli public only to make his ideological views and collect point in the right wing. If there is enough “meat” in the bribe case the police is working on nowadays he will be forced to leave his office as a foreign minister. Starting an ideological fire today might excuse the criminal smoke tomorrow.
