It’s an emotional sleight of hand. If they had wanted a state, they could have negotiated for one. Now they’re trying to get around their legal obligations and will get lots of assistance from other governments at the UN. If he’s crying, it’s from joy that they’ve managed to get so far while giving up nothing in return.

Apparently the sagacious Pat Buchanan said the same thing, but with even less of an attempt to mouth the pro forma expressions of horror about the tragedy. I expect such crap from Buchanan, and I suppose I should also expect it from the JPost. But maybe I’m just too old to ever get it into my head that Jews and/or Israelis can so easily forget our extremely long history as immigrants and exiles. The failure of empathy among “my people” breaks my heart. I put the quotes around “my people” as homage and allusion to the Tzadik Franz Kafka, who said “My people, my people…if only I had one!”

Breivik is a pathetic guy who have been caught to be blame for what has been done. He is as they say in USA a patsy. Those who are really behind and controllers of the operation, are not revealed yet. Breivik might have had a small part of the operation, but his role in the whole affair is to be blamed. Come on folks, do you he´s behind all that has been done. This is a false flag event and has to do with what is going on in the world today. What´s going on? Bombing in Libya, which Norway is supporting. This is a message to our prime minister, Jens Stoltenberg. Intelligence agency have been recruiting officers from the police. They have also monitor people. Reports is saying that they had a drill, before it happened. It has all the signs of a foreign intelligence operation.
Not just a one man job.

@Tom, this is only true for very few. most Likud and Israeli Beitenu members supported the law even if they didn’t vote for it, just as Netanyahu and Lieberman have explained yesterday.

I don’t read Hebrew. Is this the general Israeli public or just the Israeli Jewish public? Israeli pollsters and journalists have a very bad habit of polling the latter and referring to it as the former.
